I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYE.

ispy

I spy with my little eye,
A boy who wants to cry.
Hushed by the society,
Silenced by his gender.

I spy with my little eye,
A girl who wants to fly.
Crushed by her peers,
Sunk by her family.

I spy with my little eye,
A child who lost it all.
Secluded by oblivion,
Survived by pain.

I spy with my little eye,
A father shot by betrayal.
Wounded by lies,
Contented by wines.

I spy with my little eye,
A mother who lost her dreams.
Cornered by the king,
Subjected by an object.

I spy with my little eye,
A friend shown the door.
Rooted by love,
Played by popularity.

I spy with my little eye,
An insecure soul.
Guarded by thoughts,
Paced by remarks.

I spy with my little eye,
A tear seeking shoulder.
Drowned by money,
Cared by the heart alone.

I spy with my little eye,
A world with thorns.
Fenced by opinions,
Constructed by hatred.

I spy with my little eyes,
A galaxy of darkness.
Started by atoms,
And ended by humans.

  1. I think this may be my favorite poem so far. I love your commentary on society, especially in the beginning with the little boy and girl, and at the end when you say that humans are bringing an end to the world. I absolutely agree with your views, though I could never put it into words as eloquently as you. Beautiful work. I look forward to more. 🙂

I am pretty sure you have an admirable eloquence too!
Once again, thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂 Hope to see you more in the comments section.
      Cheers!
